Summary: Information on your system is on or around your system if you look.
On the furnace:
- Outside the furnace.
- Perhaps behind a furnace panel.
- Water Inlet Valve.
- Pressure relief valve. In the image shown below, the blue ring at the top specifies that the valve opens at 35 pounds per square inch (PSI) of pressure. Your valve will have some sort of marking.
- Pump(s). All pumps in your system will have a description plate of some kind.
- Control Unit Manufacturer.
- Zone Control Valve(s). A label on the valve should identify the manufacturer, voltage and current requirements.
- The Internet. If you are missing information on a specific hydronic heating system component but know manufacturer, chances are the manufacturer or other has an Internet website, which provides details about the component you have installed. Once of the nice things about hydronic heating systems is that components construction, model numbers, etc change very often.
