"Router - Getting More Wired Ports"

Summary: procure a Ethernet switch and connect it to an Ethernet port on your router. Can expand indefinitely if needed.
Background:
Most available home routers have 4 Ethernet ports built-in.
For most people, 4 Ethernet ports are enough.
But what do you do if you need more than 4 Ethernet ports?
Solution:
You buy a Ethernet switch like the Dlink DGS-220S, which has (5) Gigabit per second (Gbps) Ethernet ports on it and using an Ethernet cable, connect it to one of the ports on your router.
Now you have 4 more Ethernet ports to use.
And you can keep adding switches as needed.
