Summary: AT&T designed & manufactured a home security system in the early 1990's. Their home security system was sold through independent home security system companies. AT&T withdrew from the home security system market only after a few years. AT&T home security system components featured a robust design and excellent quality control.

Note: the Vulcan "one shot" is a non-battery powered alarm that will sound a bell when excess heat is detected.

Note: AT&T did not manufacture heat detectors. System installed used a detector of a certain temperature and source could have been one of several manufacturers at the time. The heat detector was tied to an AT&T universal transmitter.
