Summary: thermal grease needs to be renewed on both the CPU and video chip.

Background:

A laptop or even a desktop will randomly shut down if the CPU over video chips become too hot.

Overheating can be caused by clogged cooling fan fins (compressed air clean)

Overheating can be caused by a dead or slowly turning cooling fan.

Overheating can be caused by dried thermal grease between the heat sink on top of the CPU or video chip.

This shows how to replace the thermal grease on the A505 CPU and video chips.
