I woo her with written words,

as I am a coward

when I am with her.

I woo her with written words,

when I know she needs:

arms around her;

affection;

caring;

attention.

I woo her with written words,

but they only confuse

us both.

I woo her with written words,

with neither of us knowing

where we are headed.

I woo her with written words,

but she wishes

I would leave her alone.

I woo her with written words,

and now

she does not respond.

I woo her with written words,

as I am a coward

when I am with her.
